Anya Taylor-Joy in the remake of vampire classic Nosferatu

Anya Taylor-Joy will reunite with director Robert Eggers for a remake of vampire classic Nosferatu, according to reports. Plans for a remake of the 1922 silent film were first reported in 2015, but were quietly put on hold. Taylor-Joy however, speaking to the Los Angeles Times, has said she’s set to work with the director once again on a new version of Nosferatu. It’s likely Taylor-Joy will be playing Thomas Hutter’s wife in the remake (originally played by Greta Schröder), who is terrorised by vampire Count Orlok.

Spencer release date out

Spencer — the Venice and TIFF title that will see Kristen Stewart play Princess Diana — has gotten an awards-season release date. Neon and Topic Studios has scheduled the feature for November 5. Pablo Larraín is behind the feature that takes place over three days in one of her last Christmas holidays as a member of the House of Windsor at their Sandringham estate. The description for the movie read, “Spencer is an imaging of what might have happened during those few fateful days.”

Jake Gyllenhaal to star in Oblivion Song

Jake Gyllenhaal is set to star in Oblivion Song, an adaptation of Robert Kirkman and Lorenzo De Felici’s graphic novel. New Republic Pictures announced on Tuesday it optioned the rights to the story, with plans to turn it into a feature film. Gyllenhaal’s production company Nine Stories will produce the film with Riva Marker and Kirkman via his shingle Skybound Entertainment. At Skybound Entertainment, David Alpert, Bryan Furst and Sean Furst will also serve as producers.
