Emmy Awards 2020: Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow surprise fans by coming together for a mini 'Friends' reunion; watch

The 1st ever virtual Emmy Awards 2020 was home to enough surprises. One of them was a mini-reunion of the iconic show Friends. Leading the reunion were Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox. Jennifer, who was nominated in the lead actress drama category for The Morning Show, spoke to host Jimmy Kimmel via video call and surprise! The 51-year-old actress was joined by Courteney and Lisa. 

Courteney, who was played the role of Jennifer's roomie and BFF in Friends, gave a surprise to all and said, "We live together." In response to this, when Jimmy quizzed the duo, "You do?" Jennifer quipped, "We've been roommates since 1994." Soon Lisa joined Jennifer and Courteney.

Jennifer, during the initial hour of the ceremony, accompanied Jimmy to the stage to present the award for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series. Before unveiling the name of the winner, Jimmy sprayed sanitizer on the envelope and threw it in a bucket lit on fire. Jennifer, dressed in a sleek black gown on stage, was seen in a pink outfit at home for the virtual reunion.  

A while ago, it was announced that the cast of Friends will be reuniting for a special episode reportedly hosted by Ellen DeGeneres. The episode will stream on HBO Max. The reunion has been delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. To be shot with a live audience, the special reunion will take place only when the situation is normal. It will be filmed with Jennifer, Lisa, Courteney, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer.
