Katy Perry flaunts post-baby body in postpartum innerwear; jokes about getting ready for VMAs 2020

The recently concluded 2020 MTV VMAs did not see Katy Perry attending the event and that too for a very good and valid reason as she just gave birth to her and Orlando Bloom’s daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, less than a week ago.

The singer posted a mirror selfie in a nursing bra and postpartum pants and fashioned it as a hilarious pre-red carpet selfie for the VMAs. Sharing the picture on her Instagram stories the singer can be seen wearing a hands-free pumping bra and high-waist underwear. She captioned the story as, “Hair and makeup by: @exhaustion.”

Katy welcomed her first child with Orlando just four days before the VMAs. The power couple had announced the birth of their daughter with a sweet photograph on Instagram and wrote, “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter. But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. Since COVID-19 many more newborn lives are at risk because of the increased lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.”

In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate DDB’s arrival. By supporting them, you are supporting a safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child. We hope your ♥ can bloom with generosity.
