Katy Perry, on Saturday, through an Instagram post revealed that she is expecting her first child with American actor and fiancé Orlando Bloom. In an innovative post she revealed the gender of the baby as well. She posted a picture of Orlando with pink icing smeared on his face and captioned the image, “It’s a girl.”
The baby will be Katy’s first and second for Orlando who has a9-year-old son, Flynn, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. The news comes a month after Katy revealed to the world that she is expecting.
Katy had revealed her pregnancy in a music video for Never Worn White. She has shown off her growing baby bump at the end of the video and had said that her pregnancy is ‘probably the longest secret’ she has ‘ever had to keep’. The news was confirmed on Thursday by Katy’s label, Capitol Music Group.
Orlando and Katy have had an on-off relationship ever since they made things official in 2016. They had split in 2017 but soon reunited and have been inseparable ever since. Orlando proposed to her on Valentine’s Day last year.
