Watch: Nick Jonas reveals neither wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas nor his brothers informed him about the ‘Spinach Gate’ incident at Grammy Awards 2020

Nick Jonas had a memorable Grammys 2020 not only for the fact that it was the first performance of Jonas Brothers after they regrouped but also because he hit social media headline for having spinach stuck in his teeth. The fans spotted the veggie during the singe’s performance and it went viral. While the singer addressed the ‘Spinach Gate’ on social media soon after the performance, The Vice coach has now revealed that he was not forewarned by his brothers Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas or his wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas before he went up on the stage.

Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Nick confessed that neither his brothers nor his wife checked his teeth. He said, “Here's the thing that's really frustrating about this. There was spinach in my teeth from my breakfast which I had hours before. So, the entire day, no one thought to be like, ‘Hey, man, there's something back there.’” Nick recalled being excited about the evening, walking the red carpet with Priyanka and doing a quick photo shoot with her. However, his manager had warned him not to check anything online but he notified about the gaffe by Adam Levine.

Talking about Adam’s message Nick said, “The first message on my phone was from Adam Levine and he was like, ‘Nice performance. You had a little schmutz in your teeth.” He revealed that before going upstage Kevin and Joe had done a quick teeth check. He said, “We were doing an interview, like, two or three weeks ago and the guys are talking casually about how…they're like, ‘Oh, you know, the bummer for Nick is that we checked each other's teeth before we went on stage.' And I sat there going, ‘Excuse me.' They left me out of it.” However, Nick said, “It just goes to show you that you can be performing on the Grammys and be nominated and still have spinach in your teeth."
