The new trailer of Tom Cruise starrer Top Gun: Maverick has been dropped and we can’t keep calm. The film is a direct sequel of the film Top Gun that released 34 years earlier way back in 1986. Top Gun 2 sees Cruise reprise his role of Captain Peter “Maverick” Mitchell, albeit this time around he is a trainer for new recruits at Top Gun.
The trailer shows Cruise displaying his need for speed and high energy stunts. His test pilot status explains how he dodged advancement in his ranks and still continues to be a Captain. However, his ‘reputation precedes him’ as said in the trailer.
