Even as her American TV series ‘Quantico’ is in its third and last season, it has put Priyanka Chopra at the centre of a storm. The actress has been facing flak for a recent episode of the serial, which showed Indian nationalists planning to blow up New York's Manhattan in a nuclear attack in order to frame Pakistan. Despite the storyline of the show being weak, this episode has generated considerable heat and dust on social media.

Twitter users have been vocal in expressing their disappointment with Priyanka for being part of a show which allegedly shows India in a poor light. One user commented, “What the hell was this episode of Quantico .. they tried to show ‘Indian nationalists’ (their term) trying to blow up Manhattan to frame Pakistan... I don’t even know what sort of ridiculous narrative was this episode trying to set.. nonsensical stuff..” Others were even more dismayed by the episode which they claimed portrayed Indians as 'terrorists'.
Priyanka herself has chosen to stay mum and not reply to the allegations about ‘Quantico’ which wraps up this August. Instead, she apparently prefers to let her rumoured relationship with singer Nick Jonas keep the media occupied. The Bollywood-hottie-gone-West and the American singer fuelled dating buzz during a night out in West Hollywood, California where they apparently 'cozied up' together. They had arrived together at the Toca Madera restaurant and enjoyed their meal of guacamole, ceviche Verde, chicken tacos and the Japanese wagyu beef sitting on the garden patio.
Eyewitnesses claimed that the pair was very affectionate with one another, laughing and smiling, with Priyanka even running her hands through Nick’s hair as they sat at their corner table. The two had been spotted together all through Memorial Day weekend as well. Our girl is a master at distraction, one has to admit!
