“The audience is seeking substance, they are hungry for authenticity. Cherubic faces will always be loved, but we are set up for a world of projections, where you buy into the smoke and mirrors. It’s the zeitgeist that’s allowed unconventional-looking people to be considered attractive by what they say and what they exude." ———————————————————————————-On Ranveer: Cotton tank, @zaraindiaofficial; printed floral shirt, @paulsmithdesign; twill blend trousers, @massimodutti; 'GG canvas horsebit' loafers, @gucci; leather belt, @hm; set of necklaces, beaded and leather writstband, set of metal rings(all worn throughout) all @hm Photograph: Errikos Andreou (@errikosandreouphoto)/Deu: Creative Management (@deucreativemanagement) Senior Fashion Editor: Pasham Alwani (@pashamalwani) Deputy Art Director: Nikita Rao (@nikita_315) Hair: Darshan Yewalekar (@darshanyewalekar) Grooming: Mahadev Naik Words: Tanya Mehta (@tanya.91)

“Clothes are supposed to make you feel confident and empowered. I don’t really care about judgment, for me it’s all about being unfiltered. Anybody can have swag, there’s a maid at my nani ’s house who has mad swag and she wears sarees every day. So, the swagger really stems from the personality.” —————————————————————————— On Ranveer: Cotton tank top, @hm; knit shirt, trousers, #missoni; tasselled loafers, @zaraindiaofficial Photograph: Errikos Andreou (@errikosandreouphoto)/Deu: Creative Management (@deucreativemanagement) Senior Fashion Editor: Pasham Alwani (@pashamalwani) Deputy Art Director: Nikita Rao (@nikita_315) Hair: Darshan Yewalekar (@darshanyewalekar)  Grooming: Mahadev Naik Words: Tanya Mehta (@tanya.91)

“At home, I just vegetate, watching premiere league football, playing video games and spending ‘quality time’ with my wife,” he grins. Do you wear leopard print pyjamas to bed, we ask. “I’m wearing poop-emoji slippers, Tasmanian devil jammies and The Avengers T-shirts at home.” ———————————————————————————–On Ranveer: Silk shirt, @ilovepero; cotton tank, @zaraindiaofficial; cuffed trousers, @zegnaofficial; loafers, @louboutinworld Photograph: Errikos Andreou (@errikosandreouphoto)/Deu: Creative Management (@deucreativemanagement) Senior Fashion Editor: Pasham Alwani (@pashamalwani) Deputy Art Director: Nikita Rao (@nikita_315) Hair: Darshan Yewalekar (@darshanyewalekar)  Grooming: Mahadev Naik Words: Tanya Mehta (@tanya.91)

Contrary to popular belief, Gully Boy isn’t Singh’s rapping debut, we saw him belt out some rhymes, almost a decade ago, in the romantic-comedy, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl . “While those performances were quite forgettable, it still helped me expand my skill-set. When I was a copywriter at an advertising agency back in the day, I started writing my own stuff. There was a running joke in the office – ‘If you have a stale line, go see the intern aka the ‘rhyme doctor’, he’ll sort you out’”. ——————————————————————————- On Ranveer: Cotton tank, @zaraindiaofficial; printed floral shirt, @paulsmithdesign; twill blend trousers, @massimodutti; 'GG canvas horsebit' loafers, @gucci; leather belt, @hm Photograph: Errikos Andreou (@errikosandreouphoto)/Deu: Creative Management (@deucreativemanagement) Senior Fashion Editor: Pasham Alwani (@pashamalwani) Deputy Art Director: Nikita Rao (@nikita_315) Hair: Darshan Yewalekar (@darshanyewalekar) Grooming: Mahadev Naik Words: Tanya Mehta (@tanya.91)
