Music maestro Ustad Rashid Khan passed away in the afternoon of January 9. He was battling cancer for a long time and was undergoing treatment for the same in the Kolkata hospital. 

The official from the hospital said that he died around 3:45 p.m. despite the efforts by the team. 

The official mentioned, “We tried our best but failed. He passed away at around 3:45 p.m”

He was on ventilation before but as the condition worked he was admitted to the hospital.
