After a long wait, the first teaser of Brahmastra was released at an event in Visakhapatnam on May 31. Director Ayan Mukerji and actor Ranbir Kapoor were present at the event with SS Rajamouli. The trio also announced the release date of Brahmastra's first trailer. The film is in the making for over 8 years. Talking about Brahmastra's delay at the event, Ayan shared that he thought the film would never get made.
"For many years, I thought this film would never get made and I’ll die making Brahmastra. So many people asked me why the film is taking so long, and why is it so expensive. They asked me to make another romantic film. But, I always believed, if we got Brahmastra right, it would be very pioneering for our country. The film would find a large audience in the country. That energy has caused many positive things to happen," Ayan told.
Brahmastra co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy will release in theatres on September 9. This is the first part of the trilogy and it is titled Shiva.
