'You should see me on the big screen soon,' says Urmila Matondkar on returning to acting

Urmila Matondkar, in her illustrious career, has done some commendable work. Be it a thriller, horror, drama or light-hearted entertainers, the actress has excelled it all. She started her acting career as a child artist and since then, there is no looking back. Urmila, who is a politician now, was last seen in a special song in Irrfan's Blackmail (2018). As fans are eagerly waiting to watch the actress on the big screen once again, here's a surprise. Urmila, talking to a leading daily, promised that she'll be back on the silver screen soon. She further informed that she had signed a web project but due to multiple issues, it is yet to go on floors.

"When I look back, I have had such a versatile career. So, unless and until one is going to take it a notch higher, I don’t see any interest or any point in taking up a project. I can’t be doing things just for the heck of it, and which is why I was really gung-ho about the digital project. But I am sure that if not that, then something else which is great will come up. So, soon enough, you should see me on the big screen. I have promised myself that the project, which I take on, will be something exciting not just for me, but for my fans and the audience as well. There’s so much content out there on all these platforms that it doesn’t make sense to be a part of something mundane," Urmila told.
