Sanjay Dutt to begin third cycle of chemotherapy in Mumbai from September 30?

Sanjay Dutt, after completing two sessions of chemotherapy in Mumbai, travelled to Dubai with his wife Maanayata Dutt to spend quality time with their children Shahraan and Iqra Dutt. The couple jetted off on September 15, 2020. Now, in the latest development, a report of a leading daily informed that the 61-year-old will have to return to the bay to begin his third cycle of chemotherapy for lung cancer from September 30. 

According to a source close to the development, Sanjay took the earlier cycles well and is optimistic. The actor is under Dr. Jalil Parkar's supervision. Dr. Parker, after the actor's first chemotherapy, told a leading daily, "It is not yet known how many cycles will be required. Chemotherapy is never easy to take and the fight against lung cancer is another battle in his life."

The source further said that producers of Sanjay's upcoming films have been supportive and are extending good wishes for his speedy recovery. "Producers of Sanjay's upcoming films have extended good support and want him to recover first. He completed 'Shamshera' though, which just required him for minimal patchwork," the source said. 

The Dutt family has reportedly decided to fly to the US for further medical treatment. It is being said that the actor will seek treatment at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in the US, where his mother late Nargis was admitted. Sanjay's daughter Trishala Dutt is a US citizen. It is reported that the Dutt family will travel in December when the actor's twins-Shahraan and Iqra have their winter holidays.
