Amitabh Bachchan leaves his house for the first time after recovering from COVID-19; plants a tree on his mother's birth anniversary


Amitabh Bachchan, who recently recovered from COVID-19, stepped out from his house for the first time after getting discharged from the hospital. The actor made his way to plant a Gulmohar sapling in his mother #TejiBachchan’s memory on her birth anniversary. 

Sharing photos from the plantation, Amitabh wrote, “This large ‘gulmohar’ tree was planted as a sapling by me when we got our first house Prateeksha in 1976 .. the recent storm brought it down .. but yesterday on my Mother’s birthday Aug 12th I replanted a fresh new Gulmohar tree in her name .. at the same spot !”

Amitabh and Abhishek had tested COVID positive on July 11. They were admitted to Nanavati Hospital immediately. A day later Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan were also tested positive. Soon, they were also hospitalised and got discharged on July 27. Big B dishcharged on August 2. Abhishek, on the other hand, recovered on August 8, 2020.
