Varun Dhawan last featured in Remo D'souza directorial Street Dancer 3D. He has also now wrapped up the reboot of Coolie No. 1, which co-stars Sara Ali Khan in the lead role. The much-awaited film is being helmed by none other than his father, David Dhawan, and is slated to roll into cinemas on May 1, 2020.
Now we hear that the actor is all set to collaborate yet again with film producer Sajid Nadiadwala for a project post their last outing Judwaa 2 (2017), which raked in moolah at the box office. Apparently, Sajid will bankroll a Anurag Singh directorial with Varun as the lead. “Yes, Varun will be collaborating with Sajid sir yet again and the film will be directed by Anurag Singh. The makers are still on the lookout for the leading lady along with the rest of the cast. Once things are in place, they will announce the project and its details,” a portal quoted a source close to the development.
Apart from Coolie No. 1, Varun also has Shashank Khaitan's Mr. Lele and filmmaker Sriram Raghavan's next. Sajid, on the other hand, is awaiting the release of Baaghi 3 this Friday. The film features Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh and Ankita Lokhande.
