Ranveer Singh shares his experience of staying at Kapil Dev's residence for 10 days for '83's training, says his family is warm and extremely helpful

Ranveer Singh is an actor of high caliber and there comes no doubt about it. Ranveer, for any film, is known to delve into the skin of the character so much so that he actually begins to live the character and as the audience, we get to see the real person and not an actor. Similarly, for his forthcoming film '83, based on India vs West Indies World Cup in 1983, Ranveer stayed at the former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev for 10 days in Delhi to undergo extensive cricket and mannerism training as Ranveer will be playing his role. Sharing details about his training experience with Kapil to a leading daily, Ranveer said the former cricket team captain's family is very warm and generous. He added that Kapil is extremely helpful for taking him through a detailed character study.

Adding that practicing with the rest of the film's cast in Dharamshala was more of personal experience while the training was strictly professional. Ranveer further spoke that the character seemed daunting at first but with rigorous training from the man himself made him more confident. Revealing about which mannerism from Kapil was the most difficult for him to grasp, Ranveer promptly said bowling action as it is unique.
