Ajay Devgn to have a cameo in SS Rajamouli’s mega-budget period drama 'RRR'?

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn collaborated for the first time with SS Rajamouli when he dubbed for Makkhi (the Hindi version of Eega) in 2012. Ever since then, the fans of the actor have been keen to see him star in a film by the renowned filmmaker. And it looks like, their wait is finally over as Ajay has apparently given a nod to the Baahubali director’s forthcoming project, tentatively titled RRR. As per a report in a leading daily, Ajay will have an interesting cameo in RRR, much like his role in Rohit Shetty's Simmba. "Rajamouli was looking for a popular Indian superstar, who would also cater to the Hindi-speaking audience. Ajay has an extended guest role and his character will have an impact on the plot. He was the first choice and when the filmmaker approached him for the part, he heard it and gave a go-ahead," the daily quoted a source close to the actor as saying. Meanwhile, Rajamouli's upcoming RRR has reportedly been planned on a lavish budget of Rs 350 crore. The source further added, "Along with Ajay, the film has two of the biggest stars from the South Indian film industry — Ram Charan Teja and NT Rama Rao Jr. The makers are mounting the actioner on a grand scale." Well, it would certainly be interesting to see Ajay starring in yet another period saga after his much-awaited project, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
