After Haryana, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, FIR registered against TMKOC's Munmun Dutta in Mumbai for remark on a community

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress Munmun Dutta has received no breather ever since she 'unintentionally' used a casteist slur in a now-deleted video. Known for playing the character of Babita in the show, Munmun found herself in grave trouble when people belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe took offence at the term.

After FIRs in Haryana, Gujarat and Indore, a complaint has been filed in Mumbai too. A police officer told a media agency, "The case against Dutta was registered on May 26 based on a complaint lodged by Naresh Bohit (40), a community leader and a worker of a political party, at Goregaon police station on May 12."

The officer said that since Munmun resides in Amboli police station limits, the complaint application was forwarded to that police station.

Munmun has been booked under IPC sections 295(A) (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) and section 3 of the Prevention of Atrocities against SC/ST Act.

Apart from Munmun, actress Yuvika Chaudhary has also found herself in trouble for using the same casteist slur in a video.
