'I want you all to know this is an au revoir rather than a farewell,' says Karan Singh Grover on 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2'

Karan Singh Grover, in telly land, needs no introduction. The handsome hunk, not just for his drool-worthy, hot looks, but also for his nuanced acting skills, has managed to leave behind an ineradicable mark with every show. The actor, better known as Dr. Armaan from Dill Mill Gayye, a few months ago, made a telly comeback after seven long years with Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 and wowed us all with his portrayal of a shrewd businessman Mr. Rishabh Bajaj. However, the actor, on Wednesday, wrapped his portion forever and bid adieu to the show, leaving his fans clearly disappointed. Reports regarding his farewell to the show stated that Karan, unhappy with the way his character shaped up, called it quits. However, the actor, during an interview with a leading daily, dismissed the news as false and told the decision of ending Mr. Bajaj's stint was taken mutually. Karan added that the story was moulded accordingly and he loved playing the part. He further assured that he will be returning to the show after a short break.

"It’s not that at all. This is the way the story has been planned and written this time around. It’s a mutual decision. I had a lot of fun playing Bajaj. One of the highlights of 2019 has been collaborating with Ekta Kapoor for Kasautii Zindagii Kay. As the story takes its natural course, the role of Mr. Rishabh Bajaj has come to an end. However, I want you all to know this is an au revoir rather than a farewell. It has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of Ekta’s remarkable vision. I love the cast and crew for making my journey as Mr. Bajaj so memorable and special. I thank the writers for crafting the character of a corporate badass so well. As an actor, it gave me so much to experiment with. I can go on and on reminiscing about the fun I had while shooting with amazingly talented people. I wish each one of them well for their future endeavours. Au revoir! I’ll be back before you know it," Karan told during the interview.

A source close to Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, that stars Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan as Prerna and Anurag, told the daily that Mr. Bajaj's character will return to the show sometime in future, only if the track where Komolika, now played by Aamna Sharif, returns into Anurag's-Prerna's life, doesn't take the TRPs high. "No one knew about his exit until he informed the team on the last day of his shoot. The makers want to focus on Komolika and the Basu family in the show as of now. If the ratings don’t go up, there is a good chance that Mr. Bajaj will be brought back," the source told.

Speaking of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Mr. Bajaj, in the last week, handed over divorce papers to Prerna and reconciled her with Anurag. On the other hand, Komolika is back from the hospital post a plastic surgery that completely changed her face. It now remains interesting to watch how AnuPre, monicker for Anurag-Prerna, deal once again with Komolika, who is far more deadlier and revengeful this time.
