The lead actors of Gully Boy, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, are currently in Germany along with director Zoya Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani for a special screening at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival. For those caught unaware, the film has been zeroed in to be screened as part of Berlinale Special.
Interestingly, during the screening, Gully Boy Ranveer was in his element and he left the audience impressed with his infectious energy by breaking into an impromptu concert at at the Berlin Film Festival. As expected, his fans present at Berlinale 2019 couldn’t stop themselves to cheer for him. Add to this, he rapped to ‘Apna Time Aayega’ and the audience went berserk after seeing his electrifying live performance.

Ranveer’s character is inspired by the journey of Indian rappers Neazy aka Naved Shaikh and Divine aka Vivian Fernandes. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment in association with Tiger Baby and this film on the underground rap movement in India is slated to release on February 14.
