After the stupendous success of his last release Simmba that features Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in the lead, Rohit Shetty is not sitting back and resting on his laurels but instead first went on to announce his next film Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar, and now has headed to Goa to work on the script for the film. Rohit had gone on record to say that he is trying to make a cop universe on the lines of Marvel’s Avengers. After casting Ajay Devgn as Singham and then Ranveer as Simmba, he has roped in Akshay to play a cop in and as Sooryavanshi.
Today the ace filmmaker shared an adorable picture with his core team and announced that they are en route to Goa for recce and brainstorming on the script for the film. He captioned the image as, “Mission SOORYAVANSHI En route Goa.”
Simmba was a remake of the southern film Temper but Sooryavanshi will have an original script. Rohit even clarified in a statement that rumours of him buying the rights of a Tamil film for Sooryavanshi are baseless and untrue and the film is not inspired by any film.
