Really want to play Shivaji, I look like him: Aamir Khan on his choice of role for a historical biopic

The actor is keen on playing the role of Shivaji Maharaj

After announcing his next big project as Lal Singh Chaddha today, the remake of Forrest Gump, birthday boy Aamir Khan also revealed that he wants to play Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in a film. The actor thinks he is the perfect choice for the role as he looks like the Maratha warrior.

“I really want to play Shivaji. I look like him”, Aamir said.

When asked about historical films, the actor added, “It’s a good thing that historical films are being made. History is a strange subject, depends on who writes it. I will suggest, one should go deeper, dig more and get more point of views before locking a script.”
