While you might still enjoy your New Year break, it’s all work for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The two were recently spotted by fans on New Year eve in Tel Aviv, Israel as they recced the area for their sci-fi film Brahmastra helmed by Ayan Mukerji.
The good news was shared by Karan Johar on Twitter, “The new year begins with the prep of #BRAHMASTRA….the countdown of the epic journey of our film begins! Filming commences in February 2018! Ayan Mukerji helms this magical trilogy! @SrBachchan #ranbir @aliaa08 and an exciting ensemble!” This is the first time co-stars Ranbir and Alia share the frame for the film’s promotion, and joining them in the photo is director Ayan.

Mouni Roy will also play a key role in the movie. Produced by Karan Johar, the film’s first part is slated to release on August 15, 2019.
The two leading stars have started prepping for the role since November. No pain, no gain, right? In an Instagram video, Ranbir was spotted taking DJ lessons at New York’s ‘The Foxgrove’. Earlier, the director spoke about the storyline to a leading daily “In its core, it has romance as an element but it has got a new flavor to it.” He also said: “It’s a huge project and a lot of people have faith in it and in me so I need to deliver for my own career, for the producer, the actors, and the entire crew.”
Ranbir has previously headlined the cast of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil directed by Karan and Wake Up Sid directed by Ayan. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was also produced by Dharma Productions.
We can only wait for what’s in store next…
