Ever since the trailer of Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Thackeray was released on the internet the fans and followers of Balasaheb Thackeray have been eagerly awaiting the film. The makers of the film have been rooting for a solo release of the film as two other films Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Emraan Hashmi’s Cheat India were also slated to release on January 25.
However, now the makers of Cheat India have announced that keeping in mind the enigmatic and iconic figure of Balasaheb, they have decided to prepone the film’s release date to January 18 giving more room to the Thackeray biopic at the box office. Cheat India revolves around the malpractices prevalent in the Indian education system. Cheat India also stars Shreya Dhanwanthary.
