Shahid & Deepika...Two hearts that beat as one in Ek Dil Ek Jaan !

The new song from Padmavati, Ek Dil, Ek Jaan starring Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone is out. A romantic number, the song shows the sizzling chemistry between Rani Padmini and her husband Maharawal Ratan Singh. Shivam Pathak’s vocals will transport you into the 13th-century love tale of the Rajput king and his queen. The smoldering chemistry between Deepika and Shahid is the ace factor of this romantic number.

The love ballad exhibits fine nuances of love, a beautiful chemistry between the husband and wife, the exchange of mutual understanding, compassion, and togetherness between the two. A slow love track, where the Deepika and Shahid go through a gamut of emotions, in the backdrop of war and politics, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's weaves his trademark romance, which will be hummed for a long time. One has to applaud Bhansali for bringing out a soul-stirring romantic number and making the pair of Deepika-Shahid look gorgeous onscreen. To an extent, the use of colour (rang) in the song reminds us of Ranveer Singh and DP's Lahu Muh Lag Gaya, another SLB creation. The tune and visuals will give you a déjà vu of Bhansali's popular tracks, Laal Ishq and Aayat. We get to see Shahid's royal look for the first time in the song, in its full glory. Looking spectacular, colorful and oozing romance in every beat, Ek Dil...stands out as a royal romantic number. Small moments of Deepika taking Shahid's handprints on a cloth (the one she uses when she steps out for Jauhar), tying his pagdi, DP applying rang on Shahid's feet, the visuals will sweep you off your feet.

It seems, there was a reason to keep Deepika and Shahid's chemistry under wraps as the two lit up the screen with their silent romance, giving a tough competition to Deepika's pairing (in earlier SLB films) with alleged beau Ranveer. Despite controversies, no one can take away the fact that Bhansali's magic, both with music and able to extract out an electrifying chemistry between Deepika and Shahid, is an applaud-worthy attempt.

We LOVE!
