Godmothered trailer: Jillian Bell's godmother-in-training wants to give a ‘happiness makeover’ to Isla Fisher in this magical fairy tale

The first trailer for Jillian Bell and Isla Fisher starrer Godmothered is here and it will definitely make your season jolly. The film revolves around Jillian’s neophyte Fairy Godmother Eleanor and in a world where children no longer believe in magic, godmothers or fairies. Isla plays the godchild who needs her fairy godmother to sort her life and bring her some cheer.

Even in the Motherland, the other fairies have admitted defeat and the profession is almost extinct. However, Jillian is a godmother-in-training who is enthusiastic and optimistic. Upon hearing that her chosen profession is facing extinction, she decides to show the world that people still need fairy godmothers. Finding a mislaid letter from a 10-year-old girl in distress, she enters the real world to track her down and get her life in order. The only glitch is that the girl Mackenzie is now a 40-year-old single mom (Isla) working at a news station in Boston. Having been widowed several years earlier, she has almost given up hope on her ‘happily ever after’. However, Eleanor is determined to give her happiness makeover irrespective of whether Mackenzie likes it or not.
