Watch: Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao produced 'Rubaru Roshni' will showcase gut wrenching stories of three families who lost their beloved ones

The makers of Netflix' upcoming documentary titled Rubaru Roshni released the trailer of the series on social media platforms on Tuesday. The documentary is bankrolled by actor Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao under the banner Aamir Khan Productions. The documentary depicts an anthology of three stories that narrative how, despite losing their loved ones, people still find it within their hearts to forgive their killers. It is directed by Svati Chakravarti Bhatkal.

The video showcases stories of families including Lalit Maken and Geetanjali Maken, who lost their lives on July 31, 1985, after being shot dead. The documentary also features the troubled and bereaved life of Sister Rani Maria's mother. Rani, a nun from Kerala was stabbed to death 21 years ago in Madhya Pradesh. The kin of a victim of Mumbai Blasts 2008 opened up about the shock she received on hearing the news in the trailer. Featuring gut-wrenching stories, Rubaru Roshni is sure to bring goosebumps every second. Watch the trailer here:

The documentary first aired on Star Plus on January 26, 2019, and now, after acquiring the rights from Aamir, Netflix has finally released the trailer of the riveting documentary. Speaking about the documentary, Aamir, during an interview with a leading daily told," It features real people who were affected by the incidents and how they healed themselves by forgiving the perpetrators. The healing process starts with yourself; you have to forgive and let it go." The show is now streaming on Netflix
