I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar unveils CBFC's new logo and certificate; Vidya Balan, Ekta Kapoor and others attend the event

The Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC), on Saturday, unveiled its new logo and certificate at an event held in the city. The logo and certificate were revealed in presence of the Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar, who acted as the chief guest at the inauguration. The event, apart from Mr. Javadekar, was attended by the Chief of CBFC Prasoon Joshi. The event proved to be a starry affair with a plethora of television and film personalities including Vidya Balan, Ekta Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Anubhav Sinha, Amit Sharma, Madhur Bhandarkar, Subhash Ghai and Satish Kaushik.

Vidya, who is a member of the CBFC board attended the event with her producer husband Siddharth. Dressed in a pretty black saree, the Mission Mangal actress posed for the cameras happily.

Ekta, known as the Czarina of Indian television made a stylish appearance at the launch. A powerful personality herself, Ms. Kapoor added charm to the event with her smile.

Anubhav, who is currently riding high on the critical and commercial success of Ayushmann Khurrana's Article 15, posed for the cameras happily.

Amit aka the director of the National Award 2019 winning film Badhaai Ho was amongst the guests for the evening.

Subhash and Satish looked smart at the event as they posed for the cameras.

Boney, Madhur and Kunal were all smiles for the cameras at the event.

Speaking of the logo launch event, a leading daily reported that Prasoon educated the guests about the board's achievement in his two-year-old tenure and what the industry can look forward to with respect to the board. Mr. Javadekar spoke about what changes the industry can expect in terms of changes in the Cinematograph Act, new and more stringent laws to prevent piracy. He also added that what the I&B Ministry has in store for the fraternity in the coming future.
