Last evening the cast and crew members of the newly launched show, Mariam Khan Reporting Live were spotted celebrating the screening of the first episode on the set situated in Goregaon, Mumbai. The team celebrated the moment with the cake cutting ceremony followed by a party.
In an interview to us, Director Ismail Umarr Khan said, “I started my career with children show and after so many years; I got a chance to direct a show again revolving around young talent. Trust me, I am living my childhood with this show. Also, I am a father to an eight-year-old daughter in real life. Her name is Ayat and believe me she is very similar to Mariam’s character. In fact, when the producers approached me; the first thing which came into my mind was, yaar ye to bilkul meri beti ki kahani hain. There is so much to learn from the child artists because they don’t act; they are natural on camera.”
Talking about his experience while shooting with children; Ismail Umarr Khan further added, “I have been associated with the show from the past one month, and so far the experience was good. Deshna who plays the lead role of Mariam is very intelligent; she gasps things very fast. In fact, all the children associated with the show are quite brilliant. It’s fun to shoot with them.”
