Midway Trailer: Roland Emmerich’s film sees Nick Jonas portray a fighter pilot during World War II

Roland Emmerich’s action-packed upcoming film Midway based on the account of the Battle of Midway during World War II dropped a new trailer. The film is based on real events and centers on the war in the Pacific Theater after the attacks on Pearl Harbor. The American forces successfully defended the West Coast of the continental US from the Imperial Japanese Navy. The Battle of Midway itself was a decisive battle during the war that turned the course of World War II. The film chronicles the heroic exploits of American fighter pilots who helped destroy the Japanese fleets.

The film stars Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Aaron Eckhart, Nick Jonas, Darren Criss, Mandy Moore, Dennis Quaid and Woody Harrelson. The star cast is playing the roles of real-life lieutenants and admirals during the war. The trailer showcases superbly enacted battle scenes and explosive action. The trailer promises that the film will be one helluva visual spectacle as is the case with any of Emmerich’s films.

Midway is based on the script by Wes Tooke and is slated to release on November 8.
