The Lady and the Tramp trailer: Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux bring to life Disney’s live-action retelling of the animated classic

Disney unveiled the first trailer of its live-action retelling of the classic film Lady and the Tramp at the D23 Expo 2019. The trailer could not be classier and the dogs make for a great lead star cast. Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux voice the pampered pet and the ownerless scamp in this film. Yvette Nicole Brown, who plays Aunt Sarah in the film was the moderator during the trailer launch of the film and revealed that “Most of our canine stars were rescues”, and she adopted one of the pups.

While the trailer has the famous and iconic spaghetti seen but we don’t get to see the dogs accidentally kiss each other. Lady and the Tramp is a timeless retelling of the 1955 animated classic of Disney and will premiere on Disney+ on November 12.

The trailer shows an American cocker spaniel named Lady leading a comfortable life with her rich owners, but her life is forever altered after the family welcomes a new baby. After she is set astray on the streets she meets a lovable stray dog named Tramp who helps her tide over her troubles and steals her heat in the process by teaching her that life could be an exciting adventure. The film follows their romantic journey.

The film also stars Kiersey Clemons, Thomas Mann, Janelle Monae, ken Jeong, F.Murray Abraham and Sam Elliot. The film is directed by Charlie Bean.
