Bombshell: Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron and Margot Robbie bust Roger Ailes’ sexual harassment scandal in this taut teaser

The first teaser for Bombshell that centers on the former Fox News sex scandal dropped on Wednesday. Starring Charlize Theron (Megyn Kelly), Nicole Kidman (Gretchen Carlson), Margot Robbie (producer Kayla Pospisil) in the lead the film focuses on the sexual harassment scandal against network founder, Roger Ailes, played by John Lithgow.

The first preview of the film is a little over a minute but sends a shiver down your spine with the taut atmosphere and razor sharp acting of the three female protagonists. The teaser has only one dialogue, ‘Whew, it’s hot in here’ which is uttered by Kidman in an uncomfortable elevator ride that she shares with Theron and Robbie.

The teaser has a subtitle that reads, “What started with a whisper, will end with a bombshell." The teaser is light on dialogue but does give an idea that a bomb is ticking to go off somewhere nearby. It gives an idea about the secret networks and whispers that were required and employed by various women employees at Fox News to go public with allegations against Ailes.

Bombshell is written by Charles Randolph and directed by Jay Roach. The film also stars Rob Delaney and Mark Duplass. The film is slated to release on December 20.
