The heartthrob of Hollywood, Robert Downey Jr. aka Iron Man has proved his popularity in India too. As per Score Trend India, Downey Jr. is the most popular actor ranking first on the India charts. Will Smith happens to be ranked second with the closest margin. These statistics are authenticated and researched by the US-based media tech Score Trends. Downey has scored 100 points with coverages on Digital (social platforms and websites), Viral News and Newsprints. 

Ashwani Kaul, co-founder of Score Trends revealed, "The Avengers has been undoubtedly the most-watched Hollywood film across India and hence their actors Robert, Chris Hemsworth and Christopher Evans are prominent amongst the top five on the Indian popular chart. We collect data from over 600 news sources across 14 languages in India to analyze the media. These include Facebook, Twitter, print publications, viral news on social media, broadcast and digital platforms. Various sophisticated algorithms then help us to process this massive amount of data and arrive at the scores and rankings of celebrities," Kaul told.

Meanwhile the Genie of Aladdin, Will Smith ranks second with 90 points and has scored well in the E-paper (newsprints) and viral news categories. Third, on the rank is Thor of Avengers- Chris Hemsworth. This Australian born actor relishes a huge fan following and has scored 73 points on the ST charts. Christopher Evans, known as Captain America is fourth on the charts with 58 points and has faired better in Digital ( social platforms and websites) category, Leonardo Dicaprio has his loyal followers and fans in India, therefore, this actor who’s next Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is the most awaited film, continues to be steady on the fifth ranking of the Score Trends chart with 45 points.
