Reese donned the bikini back in 2016 to celebrate Legally Blonde's 15th anniversary, so it's fitting that she brought it back out to confirm the third movie two years later.

There's a script! At the season 2 New York premiere for Big Little Lies, Reese was asked about her iconic Legally Blonde character, and if she could reveal any details about a possible third movie. "[We have] a script, but we haven't shot anything," the actress said. "[Elle's] a very beloved character. You just want her to go on a hero's journey like she does in the first movie, and I'm having a great time working on it."

The original writers and producers are back, too. Kirsten 'Kiwi' Smith and Karen McCullah, are tasked with writing the script. Original producers Marc Platt and Adam Siegel, President of Platt Productions, will work on the film. Reese is also set to produce the film, with her production company, Hello Sunshine. There is currently no word on who will be directing the film.

There's an official release date. The third Legally Blonde film is slated to arrive in theaters on February 14, 2020 — only eight months away!
