No plans to add Deadpool in MCU; new reports suggest Venom might feature in Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel

Spider-Man: Far From Home is all set to release in July and although fans are eager to see Tom Holland swings back into action, we're already hearing rumours about Spider-Man 3. Reports have been suggesting that Venom will feature in the third movie of the Spider-Man franchise.

International website Comic Book Movie cited a tweet suggesting the possibility of Venom appearing in Spider-Man 3. They clarified that Deadpool won't be seen in Spider-Man 3. Instead, the movie would feature Venom. The Twitter handle had previously revealed major Avengers: Endgame spoilers last year which turned out to be true.

"There are no plans to add Deadpool in an MCU Spider-Man 3, but Sony desperately wants Tom Hardy's Venom in this movie. Deadpool had his own movies but never showed up in the main X-Men films, it will be the same for the MCU," the tweet reads.

Despite the shoddy script and bad reviews, Venom earned a good box office collection. The movie earned $213 million at the US box office. It recorded an international box office earning of $641 million. Venom earned a worldwide box office collection of $855 million. It is obvious that Sony would want to cash in on the success of Spider-Man and Venom. We wonder how Marvel Studios will react to this crossover if it ever happens.
