Avengers: Endgame becomes the second highest grosser of all time, beats Titanic at the worldwide box office

Avengers: Endgame, which released in India on April 26, is the final chapter from the Avengers franchise. Directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, the film has Hollywood biggies like Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth suiting up as the world's favourite superheroes. While the excitement surrounding the film is growing each day by leaps and bounds, Avengers: Endgame has managed to break yet another long-standing record at the global box office. As per reports, the film has beaten the lifetime gross collection of James Cameron 1997 epic Titanic in just 11 days of its release. While Titanic minted $2.187 billion at the worldwide box-office, Avengers: Endgame has crossed a whopping $2.188 billion.

What's more? The film now occupies the second spot on the worldwide list of highest-grossing films of all time and is just around $600 million behind the Avatar, whose global box office collection stands at an unprecedented $2.788 billion. Titanic ($2.187 billion) now stands at third spot followed by Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.068 billion), Avengers: Infinity War ($2.048 billion), Jurrasic World ($1.671 billion), The Avengers ($1.518 billion), Furious 7 ($1.516 billion), Avengers: Age of Ultron ($1.405 billion) and Black Panther ($1.346 billion).

Well, with the way Avengers: Endgame is raking in money, we won't be surprised if it becomes the highest-grossing film of all time in the coming few days.

In India, Avengers: Endgame has not just outperformed every Hollywood movie -- including The Jungle Book which had made $38.8 million in its entire theatrical run in the country, but also breaking box office myths for desi filmmakers.
