Rumours floating around the royal family of Great Britain talk of an alleged feud between Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and longtime friend Rose Hanbury, Marchioness of Cholmondeley. While the reason behind the feud is still unclear, one narrative has been established by UK journalist Giles Coren who claims of an affair between Hanbury and Prince William.
Although nothing has been confirmed by either royal house, it has been further theorized that it this scandal which the royal family has been trying to hide from the public with the British press spending their time and ink scrutinizing the going-to-be mother Meghan Markle, who is married to Prince Harry.

Although neither women, Catherine pr Rose, have issued a statement confirming or denying there is any truth to rumors of bad blood between them. The story came to light when it was reported that the friends and neighbours had a falling out after William encouraged Kate to slowly phase out Hanbury and her husband David Rocksavage from their lives.
