The trailer opens by taking the viewers inside a dilapidated and haunted mansion to find Morticia and Gomez standing inside. The house roars at the husband and wife, “Get out!” but Morticia exclaims, “It’s hideous. It’s horrible. its home!” The trailer also has an It reference.

The Addams Family revolves around the peculiar lives of its family members and follows the off-beat path as they try to plan a family reunion, all the time dealing with a scheming reality-TV host played by Academy Award winner Allison Janney.

The film is directed by directors Conrad Vernon and Greg Tierman and is the first animated film made on the iconic cartoon that first appeared in The New Yorker in 1938. The film is set to hit the theatres in October.
