‘It don’t matter if you’re black or white…’ her famous father sang. However, Paris Jackson, does care about how her skin tone is either being darkened or whitened by fans, according to how they choose to view her.
Daughter of the legendary pop star Michael Jackson, Paris has had to come out and tell fans to stop what they are doing. The 19-year-old actress took to Twitter to request her followers to stop editing her skin colour.
She wrote, “I appreciate everything y’all make for me. I enjoy every single edit I see. But please stop lightening my skin to make me look more white.” She added, “And please stop darkening my skin to make me look more mixed. I am what I am. I'm aware of what I look like and I [am] finally happy with it.”

Last year, Paris, whose parents are the late Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe, had spoken about her racial identity. She had stated, “I consider myself black.” Apparently, her father would look her in the eye, point his finger at her and tell her, 'You're black. Be proud of your roots.' “And I'd be like, 'Okay, he's my dad, why would he lie to me?'” she explained.
Paris also pointed out that most people who don't know her, call her white. “I've got light skin and, especially since I've had my hair blond, I look like I was born in Finland or something.”
