Exclusive: Vikrant Massey-Sonam Kapoor Ahuja in Sujoy Ghosh’s crime thriller

This has been a great year for Vikrant Massey. He’s had three web series in 2019. Made In Heaven, Criminal Justice and Broken But Beautiful Season 2. All have been successful outings with amazing responses pouring in his favour. The actor also shot for Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak where he plays the husband to Deepika Padukone’s character of an acid attack survivor. Although he had no theatrical release, Vikrant was busy shooting back-to-back films this whole year. Apart from Chhapaak, he shot for Ronnie Screwvala’s Yaar Jigri with Sunny Singh and Vinod Bachchan’s wedding film Ginny Weds Sunny that sees him paired opposite Yami Gautam. The actor also got engaged to girlfriend Sheetal Thakur in a hush-hush Roka ceremony last month in the presence of close friends and family members. With the year coming to an end, Vikrant seems to be readying his film lineup for 2020. The actor kicks off the New Year with Vinil Mathew’s romantic-thriller next month with Taapsee Pannu as his leading lady. Now PeepingMoon.com has heard that Vikrant has also locked one more project that he will dive into. Sources close to the actor have revealed that Vikrant has bagged Sujoy Ghosh’s next film that stars Sonam Kapoor Ahuja in the lead.

“Sonam’s film is a remake of the 2011 South Korean crime-thriller Blind which is based on a blind girl who helps the police to solve a hit-and-run case. Sonam plays an ex-cop who goes blind in an accident that happens while hunting down a criminal. Although the film is an out-and-out female-hero story, there’s a character of a male hero who claims to have also witnessed the incident. Vikrant is believed to be playing that character in this yet-untitled drama,” the source said.
