Exclusive: ‘Fraudster producer’ on blackmail, threatening spree in Bollywood

The big Bollywood event on Friday (September 27), everybody knows, is the grand trailer launch of Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 4 at PVR Cinema in Juhu which will be attended by the comedy franchise’s stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde and Kriti Kharbanda. Now PeepingMoon.com has come to know that another film producer with a tainted recent history is talking of hosting a big press conference also tomorrow in which the names of certain other Bollywood producers will be “exposed” for all their wrongdoings and illegalities in the industry.

There is a buzz in the industry about this rumour and people are asking what is there to “expose” because this producer has just had the dubious distinction of being personally exposed for being a con artiste and spending a long time in jail over a fraud case filed by the Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch. “If there was anything to expose, why was it not done when the police investigation was on and this producer was in the dock before the Bombay High Court for fraud?” asked a film producer. “It appears that the spell in jail has made this producer spiteful and vindictive.”

Meanwhile, PeepingMoon.com sources reveal that the producer threatening to open this can of worms in Bollywood has reportedly tried to blackmail several other film producers for money with the axe of the “exposure” hanging over their heads if they don’t comply. Messages have been flying fast and furious across Bollywood all evening about who all have been targeted by this producer just out on bail. One big producer reportedly received a threatening message saying “I am coming to get you” and he is taking it to the police tomorrow.

The target of this apparently rejected producer’s ire is the boss man of a major production company that has multiple big budget films on the floor. But nobody is taking the threats of exposure seriously and nobody is yielding to blackmail or even thinking of paying for silence. One tough filmmaker is said to have told this con artiste producer making threatening noises to “go to hell”. If another police complaint is made against this producer out on bail, this time for blackmail and intimidation, then there’s another long stretch in jail likely irrespective of what incriminating evidence this producer has to expose others in Bollywood of fraud, sex scandals, black money, tax invasion, foreign exchange irregularities or whatever. Let’s wait and see what tomorrow brings.
