EXCLUSIVE: Karan Oberoi’s sister Gurbani Oberoi happy with the actor getting a bail; says we will fight for the justice

Singer-actor Karan Oberoi has been granted bail by the Bombay High Court on a bond of Rs 50,000. The actor was arrested on May 6 on charges of rape and extortion leveled against him by a female astrologer. The judgment came a month after the actor was arrested and sent to judicial custody three days later (May 9) by the Andheri Magistrate Court.

Post the hearing, we got in touch with Karan Oberoi’s sister Gurbani Oberoi, who was quite happy with the judgement. She said, “We are extremely happy and I am very thankful to all of them who supported us. I have tears of joy and I really can’t explain these feelings in words. I am relieved now; I am very happy with the bail being finally granted.”

She further added, “My priority from the beginning was to get Karan out of the jail and then take this case further. But, we are not going to back out from this now. We will fight for the justice.”

For the unversed, a few days back, the 34-year-old woman who had accused singer-actor Karan of rape and extortion was attacked by two people riding a sports bike, while she was taking a morning walk. It was said that the attack was masterminded by her lawyer Ali Kaashif Khan. However, the lawyer said that the woman herself had planned this attack.
