'A moment is all it took,' says Deepika Padukone as she announces the trailer release of 'Chhapaak' tomorrow on World Human Rights Day

In March this year, Deepika Padukone unveiled the first look from the upcoming film Chhapaak, in which she will be seen playing real life acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Directed by Meghna Gulzar of Talvar and Raazi, the film also stars Vikrant Massey. Now after much wait, Deepika finally announced on social media that the trailer of the film will be out tomorrow on December 10.

Sharing a powerful video with a rippling sound on social media, DP wrote, "A moment is all it took...,' probably hinting at how Laxmi's life was forever changed in a moment of time. Watch the video here:

IncidentallyWorld Human Rights Day is celebrated globally every year on December 10. People celebrate cinema on this day to sensitize and inspire them and instill in them virtues and humanitarian ethics. Talking about it, Meghna had recently said, "It is actually a nice coincidence that our trailer is getting launched on the 10th of December, which also happens to be - Human Rights Day. Chhapaak is a story of acid violence. The basic act of acid violence violates the human rights of the person who is attacked by acid and their life, their physicality is changed forever. So I really couldn't have asked for better synchronicity for the release date of our film."

Chhapaak will release on January 10, 2020. But before that, we cannot wait to see Deepika light up our screens tomorrow with the film's trailer.
