'How good would I be if I didn’t have friends who were better than me,' says Hrithik Roshan on 'Housefull 4' and 'Kabir Singh' surpassing War at box office

Hrithik Roshan, after a few unsuccessful films at the box-office in recent times, bounced back with not just one blockbuster but two of them, namely, Super 30 and War. While Super 30 surpassed all expectations, War proved to be a massive winner and witnessed a spectacular footfall in the theatres. However, the action thriller that starred Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles with Hrithik failed to surpass the box-office collections of three of this year's major hits, that is Akshay Kumar's Houseful 4, Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh and Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike, in terms of box-office collections in Mumbai.

According to a news report, Akshay's Housefull 4 collected Rs 79.25 crore while War earned Rs 77.42 crore. Shahid's Kabir Singh managed to rake in Rs 87.21 crore and Vicky's Uri: The Surgical Strike minted Rs 84.11 crore. This data was issued by a trade portal and discussed the collections of these films only from the Mumbai belt. Sharing the piece on his Twitter account, Hrithik reacted to War being defeated by Housefull 4, Kabir Singh and Uri in a positive and friendly manner. The actor went on to applaud the performance of those films. "How good would I be if I didn’t have friends who were better than me," Hrithik captioned the tweet.
