'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' isn't a sequel of 'Wanted', but a standalone new film: Salman Khan

The scrapping of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ambitious Eid 2020 project titled Inshallah, starring Salman Khan with Alia Bhatt, left the fans of the trio sheerly disappointed. However, soon after this announcement broke out in the media, Salman, through his Twitter account ensured his fans to be back with a punch on the same date with a different film altogether. And keeping up with his promise, the star, on Saturday, on his Instagram account, delighted everyone by announcing his next. Titled Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, Salman gave birth to rumours that the film is a sequel to his blockbuster action film Wanted. Adding to the fuel was his collaboration with Prabhudheva, who was the director of the 2009 release. However, during the trailer launch of his December release Dabangg 3, Salman clarified that Radhe isn't a sequel to Wanted and is a standalone and a different venture. The Bharat actor further said that though the title of the film has been borrowed from his character's name from Tere Naam, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is the 'baap' of the former action thriller.

"Radhe's name was in Tere Naam. After that, we used the same name in Wanted but Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is a completely different film altogether and has nothing to do with Wanted. Agar uss format mein bola jaye toh yeh Wanted ka baap hai," Salman told during the trailer launch.

Talking more about Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, Salman cited the reason for attaching the first look of the film with Dabangg 3's motion poster. The actor went on to say that in order to ensure both the films get equal attention without Radhe getting maximum limelight, leaving Dabangg 3 behind in terms of buzz and vice versa, this merger was coined. "Dabangg, while focusing on Radhe, would have lacked attention. So Dabangg se start kiya aur Radhe pe end kiya," Salman added.

Coming to Dabangg 3, the film, directed by Prabhudheva and produced by Arbaaz Khan, Salman and Nikhil Dwivedi, stars Sonakshi Sinha, Saiee Manjrekar, Sudeep, Mahesh Manjrekar and Pramod Khanna. It is scheduled to release on December 20, 2019. Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is also directed by Prabhudheva and will be produced by Salman's brother Sohail Khan and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri's production house Reel Life Entertainment.
