Disha Patani bags the lead role opposite Salman Khan in his Eid 2020 release?

Disha Patani, with her choice of films and natural acting talent, has emerged to become one of the highly popular stars among youth and a bankable personality for filmmakers. With her recent films including M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Baaghi 2 and Bharat entering several coveted multi-crore clubs, the svelte actress has climbed the charts of top favourites of filmmakers. Disha, after bagging a lead and plum role in Ekta Kapoor's upcoming rom-com, it seems, is all set to collaborate with her Bharat co-star Salman Khan for his next. As per reports of a leading daily, Disha will be starring opposite Salman in his Eid 2020 film, which is said to be directed by Prabhudheva. The sources close to the film informed the daily that an official announcement will be made soon.

On the contrary to this report, rumours did the rounds that Anushka Sharma has been finalised for the role. However, this was declared to be false speculation and now, with Disha's name cropping up, it remains interesting to watch the Bharat duo cast their magic together onscreen yet again. The yet-to-be-announced film is said to go on floors in the first week of November.

Speaking of this Salman-led film, the actor announced it when his film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali titled Inshallah, co-starring Alia Bhatt got shelved owing to 'creative differences'. The film will once again reunite the Kick star with Prabhudheva after Dabangg 3, which is scheduled for a December 20, 2019 release.

Workwise, Disha was last seen in Bharat and will star with Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur in Malang. Salman is currently seen hosting the reality show Bigg Boss 13 and will reprise his character of Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 3.
