Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, with her beautiful story-telling skills, has proven her mettle as a phenomenal director and filmmaker. She, the wife of Nitesh Tiwari, with films like Nil Battey Sannata and Bareilly Ki Barfi, has given us some memorable characters with realistic tales that are equally admired by the audience and critics. And now, she is all geared up to narrate the riveting and inspiring story of Infosys co-founder Narayan Murty and his wife Sudha Murty, the chairperson of the company and a renowned author. Ashwiny, on Instagram, on Tuesday, shared a picture from her meeting with the power-couple and confirmed her next post Panga, starring Kangana Ranaut. Titled Murthy, the director expressed her gratitude towards the couple for allowing her to take their iconic story forward in the form of a cinema. She further added that all she hopes is to do justice to their expectations.
Well, with the film being announced, the leading cast remains to be an important question. However, as per reports of a leading daily, sources close to the development informed that Alia Bhatt is the top contender to play Sudha. Although the actress, who has her plate full of films including Sadak 2, Takht, RRR and Brahmastra, is yet to give her final positive nod.
Murthy will be directed by Ashwiny while the producers will be Mahaveer Jain, Sanjay Tripathy and Nitesh, who is also said to be writing the film. As per the early buzz, the film will go on floors next year after the team completes proper research on the couple's life.
