Akshay Kumar expresses concern over his children Aarav and Nitara refusing to step out because of constant media attention

Akshay Kumar's popularity has practically no boundaries. The actor, being the superstar he is, is constantly surrounded with media attention in order to please his fans with pictures of their idol. Courteous as always, he manages to oblige the shutterbugs with some perfect snaps every time. But, this attention is not something that is desired by his children and Akshay does agree with their choice. During an interview with a leading daily, Akshay said that his children-Nitara Bhatia and Aarav Bhatia fear cameras. He further said that they resist stepping out of the house for a family outing to keep away from negative social media comments. The Mission Mangal actor went on to add that star kids should be given a choice deciding whether they want to stay in the limelight and until they are in for it, they shouldn't be followed or scrutinised.

"It breaks my heart to hear my six-year-old daughter says she doesn’t want to come out to dinner with her family because the paparazzi will be there and she doesn’t like the flashing lights. Or Aarav not wanting to come for a movie because he just finished training and he doesn’t want to have to deal with people saying he looks tired or sweaty on Instagram and I really don’t blame them. Us as stars may have signed up for this but until our kids decide to be in any form of the limelight after college years, then I don’t think they should be publicly followed or scrutinised, out of safety for them physically and mentally. Again, that’s my opinion and like I teach my kids, it’s your choice whether or not you choose to be offended by what others say," Akshay told during the interview.
