Janhvi Kapoor to enter the Telugu film industry with a Vijay Deverakonda film?

Janhvi Kapoor is currently running busy with an interesting set of films in her kitty. The actress, who made her big Bollywood debut with Karan Johar produced Dhadak in 2018, is reportedly gearing up for another debut. Well, yes. As per reports in a leading daily, Janhvi will be stepping into the Telugu film industry and much to her delight and desire, her co-star in her debut down South will be none other than Vijay Deverakonda. The reports also stated that the film will be directed by Puri Jagannadh better known for Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap in Bollywood.

However, the film, yet untitled, was announced by the producer of the film, Charmme Kaur, who also made her Bollywood debut with Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap. Charmme, in her tweet, informed that Vijay has been cast as the male lead but there was no news on the female lead. Now, with reports carrying Janhvi's name, it will be interesting to see the pretty girl leave her mark in the Telugu film industry too. For the unversed, Janhvi's mother late Sridevi was a known face in Tollywood and acted in several films.

Janhvi, during her debut appearance on her mentor Karan's celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan Season 6 expressed her desire to work with Vijay. During the rapid-fire round, Karan quizzed Janhvi, "If you were to wake up one day as a male actor, who would that be and why?" To which, she promptly said, "Vijay Deverakonda and I'd do a film with me." After the reply, Karan introduced Vijay as the Arjun Reddy actor and Janhvi added, "He's extremely talented."

Workwise, Janhvi will be seen in IAF Pilot Gunjan Saxena's biopic, RoohiAfza, Takht and Dostana 2. She will also be making her digital debut with Zoya Akhtar's story in Netflix' Ghost Stories.
