‘I can’t be solely blamed for a film’s poor collections’, says Sidharth Malhotra on his previous films’ failure

Sidharth Malhotra is back with a bang in Bollywood after a couple of duds. The actor is busy promoting his upcoming film Jabariya Jodi opposite Parineeti Chopra and soon will plunge into the shooting of Shershaah- biopic on Vikram Batra and Marjaavan opposite Tara Sutaria. In Shershaah Sidharth will be sharing screen space with Kiara Advani.

In a recent interview with a leading daily, Sidharth opened up about his recent debacles. The actor said that the acting is such a precarious profession that the main actor cannot be blamed for a film not doing well at the box office as every film has a different fate and one needs to be consistent as an actor. He said, “I can’t be solely blamed for a film’s poor collections, and I also can’t be the only reason for a film to work. Not every film will work and you will make mistakes. It could be the route you took, the approach you had for a role or the team, or something else. You have to constantly keep a tab on these things — on what worked in your favour and what didn’t.”
