Although Ananya Panday is just one film old, she has managed to grab the attention of all with her innocent looks and natural finesse for acting. The young actress became a favourite of paparazzi much before her debut film Student Of The Year 2 released. The media-friendly actress, during an interview with a leading daily, spoke about the media frenzy that has enveloped around her. Ananya told that she was aware of this situation and signed films keeping it in mind.
"I think they are doing their job as well. When I decided to get into films I signed up for this. I am nice to them and say hi to them. A smile goes a long way (laughs). I am still living my normal 20-year-old life, so it's fine," Ananya told.

Ananya made her way into Bollywood with Karan Johar produced Student Of The Year 2. Although the film fizzled out at the box office, Ananya shone brightly and received appreciation for her work from who's who of the film industry. Now, she will be back onscreen with Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar in the remake of Pati, Patni Aur Woh.
Apart from films, the 20-year-old actress has been active on the social front with her newly launched So Positive initiative. So Positive is a Digital Social Responsibility movement headlined by Ananya to combat bullying on social media. The platform aims to spread awareness about cyberbullying and offers redressal to the victims.
